FAQ – Dog Obedience Class

What does it cost

$80.00 for six week course if paid in advance.  If paid at the training site, the cost is $90.00

What is the size of the class

We do restrict the number of dogs in our classes to no more than 8 dogs per training session.  This allows us sufficient time at each session to be effective with each dog.

What do I bring the first day

Your dog, dog lead, dog collar, rewards, drinking water for dog, refreshing beverages for you (water, Gatorade, sports drink, etc.) and plastic baggies (like grocery bags) to clean up after doggie.  Also bring a copy of current vaccinations (as rabies, distember) and it will not be returned to you.  If you did not prepay for the course, bring payment.

How do I pay for class?

Check, Money Order, or Paypal is acceptable payments.

Where do we meet?

In the parking lot of K-Mart in Clermont.  This is located on Highway 50, just east of Highway 27.  Go to the first traffic light (with Speedway on your right) and turn to the LEFT.

What if it rains

This is Florida, show up, it may not be raining at the site or the rain  may end in a few minutes.  We trined in the rain, in snow, the afternoon of 9-11, and when Hurricane Andrews was making landfall.

What do I wear

Wear comfortable clothes, comfortable walking shoes, etc.

Can I drop off my dog and come back in six weeks?

No, this is a working class and see item above.  While your dog is learning, we are exercising.

Can I train my dog in different language?

Sure, but I can’t translate for you when he talks back with you.

What if my dog is sick

Do not bring your dog if it is not feeling good.  Please attend the training for you can take the experience home and share it with your furry friend.

What if I am ill

You do not need to call or to get a doctors note.  Just take care of yourself or family member and see you next week.

What if my dog doesn’t pass the course?

You will receive a certificate of attendance and welcome to return to the next session of classes.

After we complete the course, can we return to the next session?

Former students are always welcome to return to class for remediation training or brush up on new skills.  The charge will be $10.00 per dog per session to attend individual sessions.
